Reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic has shaken up the sneaker industry by signing a multi-year deal with the 361 brand.
Jokic, a two-time regular season MVP and center for the Denver Nuggets, had played with Nike for his entire career until it was announced that he was joining the brand.
Despite being one of the league’s most dominant players for the past three seasons, Jokic has never received a signature shoe from the Swoosh, but that is set to change: Nick DePaula stated that 361 has signed him to a multi-year signature shoes contract.
What is 361?
361, also called 361 Degrees, is a sneaker and sportswear company created in China. Founded in 2003, 361 has slowly become an emerging basketball powerhouse, signing players such as Aaron Gordon and Spencer Dinwiddie.
Having now signed Jokic as a star player, the brand has made its first big splash, and is likely to make more.
Does Nikola Jokic have a signature shoe?
Despite signing with Nike for almost his entire star career, Jokic has never received a signed shoe, settling for a series of personal editions.
But his new deal with 361 will see him get his signature model, the same as his Nuggets teammate Aaron Gordon.
