The NBA’s official Facebook page in recent hours has been the “victim” of a former employee of the social department of the league. Finding himself still logged in, the former employee posted a negative message on the page about his experience in NBA employment.
“How do I log out of here? I haven’t worked here for months. The NBA exposes its dedicated social media employees to damage to their health and sociality for a salary of less than $50,000 net annually. Sometimes I worked 14 hours straight without a break. Thank you, Adam Silver. And we have no health insurance before 90 working days! Stupid, isn’t it? I’m glad I resigned, I don’t need a job that is an obstacle to my happiness. Donate to mental health causes.” reads the status, quickly removed.
It is obviously unclear whether it was really written by a former employee or by someone who managed to hack the NBA’s Facebook account.
A former NBA employee posted this on the league’s official Facebook page this morning.
