Most watched NBA season ever

The regular NBA season just concluded recorded new records regarding the attendance in the arenas.

The 2023-24 regular season was the one with most appearances in absoluteo, with higher plant fill rates and with more soldout. The mind-blowing thing is that previous records were set only last year, demonstrating the NBA’s great appeal to the public.

In total there were 22,538,518 spectators compared with 22,234,502 last year, with una average of 18,324 fans per game, again up slightly from the previous season. 873 matches (71% of the total) went sold out while the year before on 791 occasions (63%) all available tickets were sold. The total arena fill rate is 98%.

There are well 12 teams that have sold out every home match: Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, and Utah Jazz.

Spectators in attendance came from 150 different countries, in fact from all over the World. Also interesting was the November game attendance figure with an average of 18,208 fans per contest, the highest ever for that month, right in conjunction with the most important challenges of the new In-Season Tournament.
