Milwaukee Bucks will have a new owner

Change in sight in the property of Milwaukee Bucks.

The co-owner Marc Lasry is preparing to sell his shares to Jimmy Haslam, former owner of the Cleveland Browns, an NFL franchise. The Lasry era, which began in 2014, will come to a close in the coming months. Instead, Wes Edens will remain in the saddle, but he will be joined by a new partner.

The value of the operation? About 3.5 billion $8 billion. This is the second most expensive divestiture in NBA history, following the $4 billion one that marked the Phoenix Suns’ move from Robert Sarver to Mat Ishbia. Only in this case it is, in essence, half a franchise.
