Initially, the signing of Max Strus with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the early hours of free agency seemed like a normal addition by the Ohio franchise. In reality it will be a sign-and-trade that will involve not only the Miami Heat but also the San Antonio Spurs, while the player will sign a four-year, $63 million total. Strus will then move from Miami to Cleveland, the Heat will get a second-round draft pick while the Spurs will get Cedi Osman (redundancy to the Cavs), Lamar Stevens and another second-round pick in the draft.
Strus contributed to Miami’s ride to the last Finals, finally blossoming with 11.5 point average and 35 percent from three-point range last season.
