Matilde Villa’s first words after the WNBA Draft: “A dream come true.”

On the night Matilde Villa was selected in the WNBA Draft.

The Italian-blue starlet, currently at Reyer Venezia, received the 32nd call-up from the Atlanta Dream, a franchise that also holds the rights to another Orogranata player, Lorela Cubaj.

Through the press office of the orogranata club, Matilde Villa, made her first official statements after landing in WNBA.

For me it is a dream come true, I am overjoyed. I see it as recognition for all the work I have done so far. Being able to share this moment together with my teammates was special, we are a very close group and we support each other so much. When my name came up I felt a very strong emotion. Lorela was also with me, being chosen in her team fills me with joy. A few weeks ago they had warned me that I could be included within the draft, I was also aware that they might not even call me, so the excitement was even greater.
