Los Angeles Clippers unleashed: Bones Hyland and Eric Gordon arrive

I Los Angeles Clippers are among the stars of this trade deadline. Not because of some major trade like the ones that brought Irving to Dallas or Durant to Phoenix, but because of a couple of trades that certainly strengthen the franchise as a contender in the West. First the Clippers acquired Bones Hyland from Denver Nuggets in exchange for two second-round picks, 2024 and 2025. Then they also took Eric Gordon from Houston Rockets In a three-team deal with the Memphis Grizzlies.

As part of this trade, the Clippers gave up the following. John Wall to the Rockets, where the point guard only last year ended up off the team, and Luke Kennard to Memphis. The Grizzlies in turn sent Danny Green Houston.

To summarize:

  • Clippers receive: Eric Gordon, three second-round draft picks (via Memphis)
  • Rockets receive: John Wall, Danny Green and the right to trade the Bucks’ first-round pick in the 2023 Draft (in their own possession) to the Clippers’
  • Grizzlies receive: Luke Kennard

In a third trade, the Clippers also got. Mason Plumlee from Charlotte in exchange for Reggie Jackson.
