LeBron James will take the field in the Drew League

The news shocked the basketball world in the United States. In the coming hours LeBron James swill take the court in the Drew League, in what is probably the most famous summer league (after the NBA Summer League).

For LeBron this is a return to the Los Angeles league, where he played back in 2011, at the time of the lockout. It is not yet clear which team James will play for but it is likely to be one of the two undefeated teams, MVC Cheaters and Black Pearl, who will face each other on game day six.

This weekend’s Drew League matches will kick off at 11 a.m. California time, which is 8 p.m. in Italy. The big match will be staged at 1:45 pm (10:45 pm on this side of the Ocean). Other matches also scheduled for tomorrow.

Other NBA players such as De’Anthony Melton, Montrezl Harrell and DeMar DeRozan also took the court in this edition of the Drew League. The latter is on the Cheaters’ roster and at this point it is likely that he may share the parquet with LeBron.
