Bitter disappointment for the Los Angeles Lakers. Ahead even by 20, they suffer the comeback of Denver Nuggets who win Game 2 with a resounding buzzer beater by Jamal Murray.
At the end of the games big nervousness in the gialloviola household. LeBron James is decidedly unhappy with the refereeing and spares no criticism of the whistles. Specifically in the crosshairs is a foul by Bobby Portis on D’Angelo Russell late in the third quarter, first conceded and then deleted from the challenge.
Michael Porter Jr. hit D’Angelo Russell in the face. MPJ was called for a foul which was then challenged.
Nuggets won the challenge.

In fact the manata on the face seems obvious, and LeBron blurted out in his press conference, “What’s the c**** point of having a replay center if we can’t whistle these fouls?”
D-Lo, the person directly affected by the incriminating non-whistle in the final third quarter, recoiled on X: “It was a clear foul and we all saw it live nationwide.”
That’s a foul we all saw it on national television.

Fact is, the Lakers missed a golden opportunity to tie the series and cashed in their 10th consecutive loss to the Nuggets.
