Kyrie Irving to Los Angeles Lakers is increasingly possible

By Wednesday Kyrie Irving will have to announce his decision on the $36.5 million Player Option with the Brooklyn Nets. Whatever his decision will be, predicting his future will remain impossible, but in the last few hours the trail leading to the Los Angeles Lakers. Irving could not sign with the yellow-purple as a free agent, unless he did so at minimum salary, and thus would need to a sign&trade even if it is released at the beginning of free agency.

According to Sam Amick, Irving has reportedly decided to commit to the dream of wearing a Lakers jersey and LeBron James would welcome him with open arms. Unlikely, however, that the Nets would accept Russell Westbrook as a quid pro quo, there would then need to be a third team to complete the trade. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, no team is currently working on a sign&trade other than the Lakers, which are therefore the most likely destination at the moment and also the only possible destination other than staying in Brooklyn.

Finally, Kyrie Irving has reportedly received the okay from the Nets to talk to other teams and look for a win-win trade, as reported by Yahoo!Sports.
