Klay Thompson is posting his worst scoring average since his rookie season as the Golden State Warriors struggle to break the 50 percent win-loss threshold. Before the game against the Sacramento Kings, Thompson had a little back-and-forth with reporters.
One of the reporters asked Klay Thompson how important it is for coach Steve Kerr to keep the same starting five throughout the season. At that point the player addressed his words to the reporter.
“You want me to bench? That I bench Wiggins? You can suggest that to Steve, all right. Thank you.”, Thompson said. “I don’t know. Sometimes you earn these things, like patience and time to find yourself. I think history is on our side when it comes to these situations.”.

Thompson is averaging 15 points per game this season, the lowest since his rookie season in 2011-12, when he averaged 12.5 points per game. At the same time, Thompson is shooting the worst three-point performance of his career, which is only 36.7 percent. He can only get better, because getting worse is virtually impossible.
