Jusuf Nurkic last night found himself on the other side of what is sure to become one of the most controversial episodes of the season. During the game between Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors, the long Bosnian was hit completely at random by Draymond Green with a punch to the face. Nurkic remained on the floor, while Green was ejected and will now likely receive another lengthy suspension. The Golden State player has already missed five games due to disqualification this year after he tried to strangle Rudy Gobert.
After the game, which the Suns won by a narrow margin, Nurkic bitterly commented on the incident in a press conference: “What’s going on with Green? I don’t know. I personally think he needs help. I’m glad he didn’t try to strangle me. At the same time, however, it was something that had nothing to do with basketball.”.
