Ja Morant was suspended in recent hours by the Memphis Grizzlies for at least two games after he displayed a gun in a live broadcast on his Instagram profile on Friday night. The Memphis Grizzlies star in recent weeks was no stranger to such attitudes, although so far there was no evidence of it.
Morant in response decided to deactivate his Twitter and Instagram profiles, as well as issue a statement through reporters. In the text of the same, the player took full responsibility for his actions and apologized to everyone.
I take full responsibility for my actions last night. I am sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, sponsors, the city of Memphis and the entire Grizzlies franchise for letting you down. I will take some time away from the team to get help and work on learning better ways to relieve stress and conduct myself.
