The contest between Boston Celtics e Milwaukee Bucks of tonight will go down in the history books of the NBA.
Not so much for the Bucks 104-91 win nor for Giannis Antetokoumpo’s injury but for the number of free throws pulled. Only two attempts on a stopwatch in the entire game, an all-time record. An incredibly low number. Antetokoumpo himself attempted both, making only one. Boston, on the other hand, never went to the lunette., which has never happened before. These are numbers never before seen in NBA history when you consider that the previous record for fewest free throws attempted was 11.

In all, the referees whistled 12 fouls: 4 were committed by the Bucks and 8 by the Celtics. The two teams opted for perimeter play but not so much to justify so few whistles under the basket. Boston shot 52 times from three and 41 from inside the arc, Milwaukee 36 times from distance and 45 from two.
In the postgame the players did not speak of a lackluster challenge but simply of a very lax refereeing metre. The game lasted less than two hours in all, also an exceptional event in the NBA sphere.
