Both Danilo Gallinari and Simone Fontecchio played tonight with the Washington Wizards and Utah Jazz against the Charlotte Hornets and Indiana Pacers, respectively. Unfortunately, however, only one of the two won and that is the 1988 class. But let’s go and see how they played because it is already news that they were on the court for several minutes, given how the last few contests had gone.
Gallinari showed that he was in very good shape because he was on the court almost 20 minutes and scored 18 points, shooting 7 of 11 from the field with 57 percent from long distance. The Rooster also grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out 2 assists. Fontecchio did his in the time given to him, which was 18 minutes and 18 seconds, because scored 10 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 1 assist. Too bad, though, that the Utah Jazz fell badly 134 to 118 at home to the Indiana Pacers, despite Jordan Clarkson’s 33 and Lauri Markkanen’s 24+9.
Let’s see if Danilo Gallinari and Simone Fontecchio get these minutes on a continuous basis. between now and the end of the year or was it just a choice to manage the strengths of those who normally play more than the two Italians.
