FURIA Draymond Green: ejected, his game lasts 4′ vs. Orlando

Tuesday night Draymond Green had already ended up in the midst of controversy for a foul on Patty Mills deemed by many as deserving of a Flagrant. On that occasion Green had gotten away with a routine foul in the clear win over Miami, but tonight he was not as lucky. His game against the Orlando Magic lasted just 4 minutes and 36 seconds, so much time elapsed from the two-ball to the referees’ decision to eject him for a double technical foul.

It all started after a foul whistled at Andrew Wiggins on Paolo Banchero. Hence began a vehement protest by Green (possibly for an earlier contact on the other side of the court), which was immediately sanctioned with a first technical foul. Not content, the Golden State veteran followed the referee to whom he was protesting, continuing to talk to him too aggressively, under the eyes of even Steph Curry at his side. After several seconds and more yelling from Green toward the official, the second technical foul eventually came as well, and the player immediately headed to the locker room.

For him a very quick game ended with 0 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 0/1 from the field in 4′.

Following Draymond Green’s ejection, Curry was framed visibly frustrated and almost in tears from nervousness.
