Frank Vogel EXONERATED by the Phoenix Suns!

Frank Vogel is no longer the coach of the Phoenix Suns, the Arizona club announced. Vogel was exonerated after a disappointing elimination in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs against the Minnesota Timberwolves with an 0-4 loss.

The Phoenix Suns announced today the dismissal of Frank Vogel as head coach.

“As we said in our May 1 press conference, the team’s leadership, which includes myself, Josh Bartelstein and ownership, would review basketball operations to determine what changes needed to be made.”, said Suns president of basketball operations and general manager James Jones. “After a careful review of the season, we concluded that we needed a different coach for our team. We appreciate Frank’s hard work and commitment.

Despite adding superstar Kevin Durant and three-time NBA All-Star, Bradley Beal, to pair with franchise star, Devin Booker, last summer, the Suns finished the regular season in sixth place in the Western Conference and suffered a 4-0 sweep by the Timberwolves, exiting the playoffs too early. We’ll see who they decide to bet on.
