Fontecchio has found its Italian chef in Utah: Jonathan Tavernari

As you all know very well by now, Simone Fontecchio is a new player for the Utah Jazz, who have offered him a two-year deal worth more than $6 million total. Of course for an Italian going abroad there are always so many doubts and so many unknowns but the first question is “where will I eat good Italian in such a place?” Lo and behold, Fontecchio has already found his trusted chef and we are talking about Jonathan Tavernari.

The Brazilian basketball player with Italian passport has practically played his entire career in our country, from age 24 to 32, with a small interlude in 2013-2014 in Brazil at Pinheiros. For some time now the 1987 class wing native of São Bernardo do Campo has moved to Utah and therefore has been able to try the various Italian restaurants there, including the Olive Garden, which, however, does not seem to be exceptional, to read the tweet:

This is clearly a joke by the former player of Dinamo Sassari and Pallacanestro Cantù among many others. But it is certainly convenient to have the support of a person who could have been a teammate of yours in Italy in Bologna or Reggio Emilia. I wonder if Tavernari will really cook Fontecchio a nice plate of carbonara?
