Drew League, Talen Horton-Tucker also plays (poorly) and the social people rage

The parade of NBA stars in Drew League continued on Sunday. After LeBron James’ exploit on Saturday, Sunday it was the turn of one of his teammates at the Los Angeles Lakers, Talen Horton-Tucker.

After De’Anthony Melton, Montrezl Harrell, LBJ himself and DeMar DeRozan, a fifth NBA player also took the court in the Drew League. Talen Horton-Tucker’s performance, however, fell short of expectations. The Lakers wing finished with 14 points and 6 rebounds, shooting 38 percent from the field in his team’s 81-67 win over Hometown Favorites.

Pretty poor stats for an NBA player in a tournament that, while high level, sees many amateurs on the court. Performance that sparked THT’s detractors on Twitter, where the player was heavily criticized.

“When pros say every NBA player could walk into this gym and be mvp of every game they don’t include Horton Tucker,” writes one user, while another adds “But how do you shoot 38 percent against people who go to work during the day?” and most comments are of the same tone.
