Draymond Green could really leave the Golden State Warriors in the summer. In fact, the veteran, who just under a year ago ended up in the media pillory for punching teammate Jordan Poole, has decided to decline the $27.5 million Player Option on next season, becoming an unrestricted free agent as of July 1.
Golden State Warriors four-time NBA champion Draymond Green is declining his $27.5 million player option for 2023-24 season and will enter unrestricted free agency, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul told @TheAthletic @Stadium.

Green played his entire career in the Bay Area, winning 4 titles and becoming one of the Dubs’ symbols. In recent months, however, partly because of what happened with Poole, many have speculated about his farewell, perhaps to team up with LeBron James, his close friend. The Warriors still remain among the favored teams to re-sign Draymond Green, as also confirmed by his agent, Rich Paul.
The Warriors have been motivated to sign Green on a new deal.
