Danilo Gallinari made his debut with Detroit: how did it go?

After a first game as a non-paying spectator, last night Danilo Gallinari made his debut with the Detroit Pistons In the game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Detroit lost its 38th game of the season (out of 42) while still giving battle against a clearly superior team on paper, eventually surrendering 135-141.

The Rooster started from the bench and stayed on the court 16′, finishing with 8 points, 1/1 from the field, 5/5 at the free, 1 rebound and 3 assists. His +20+ was the Pistons’ highest plus/minus after Alec Burks’ +24, but he scored 33 points and was the best of his team.

“Not the result we hoped for but I’m happy to have debuted. The road is still long, never give up.” Gallinari wrote on social media. The Blue wore number 12 for the first time, chosen in honor of his father Vittorio.
