Danilo Gallinari, first words after diagnosis of torn ACL

In the past few hours, about a week late, Danilo Gallinari has discovered that he is really ruptured ACL in the match against Georgia. The blue star was initially diagnosed with a left meniscus injury, for about a 2-month stop. Now they will be more, the Rooster is likely to miss the entire NBA season, being now 34 years old and having ruptured his ACL already operated on in 2013.

Gallinari commented on the news on his own social media, with an official message addressed specifically to Boston Celtics fans. The player, after two years in Atlanta, had signed with the green-and-whites in the summer for two years.

This week has been hard for me as I knew the true extent of my injury. This game means everything to me, and not being able to be on the court with my Celtics teammates hurts. I want to give everything I have to the organization and my teammates in an effort to win the NBA title. I will work tirelessly with the Celtics staff to get back on the court as soon as possible, and I appreciate the support I am receiving from the fans, my teammates and the entire NBA family.
