Dallas takes Christian Wood from Houston

The Finals aren’t over yet and the Draft is a week away, but the NBA market has already gotten into full swing. On the night the Dallas Mavericks have taken via trade Christian Wood from Houston.

The long man is the first reinforcement Dallas delivers to Luka Doncic, as Dallas’ core appeared insufficient in the Playoffs to aim for the title. For Wood, Dallas will send the Rockets three players, namely. Boban Marjanovic, Trey Burke and Marquese Chriss, plus the 26th pick in this year’s draft..

Wood comes from a so-so season, with even some disciplinary problems. His averages speak for 17.9 points and 10.1 rebounds.

Also noteworthy is the separation, after multiple seasons, of the Doncic-Marjanovic pair, who had provided several amusing antics and had become fan favorites.
