In the past few hours Chris Paul completed his own college education, 17 years after he left Wake Forest to go play in the NBA. The Phoenix Suns point guard majored in communications at the Winston-Salem State University, in North Carolina.
CP3 went to the ceremony directly after the last game against the Clippers, which was played on the other side of the US. At Winston-Salem State, Paul attended the graduation ceremony and also decided to give a gift that was certainly much appreciated to his fellow college students. Each graduating student in fact received $2,500 from CP3, who has achieved his own success on the hardwood floor because of his head, which he apparently intends to use even when he retires from basketball.
Last night, Chris Paul beat the Clippers in LA.
He then hopped a plane and flew 2,000 miles to Winston-Salem State University.
Today, he’s graduating from the HBCU with his degree in communications – and he’s giving every WSSU graduate $2,500 🎓
