Alperen Sengun is definitely one of the revelation players of the NBA season: only a few days ago he played his best game in his career, scoring his own career-high against San Antonio, icing on the cake to a so far stellar season by the Houston Rockets’ Turk, who so far is maintaining 21.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists on average. In the night’s contest against the Sacramento Kings, however, Sengun is even left the court in a wheelchair after an attempted stoppage.
Alperen Sengun fell badly on his ankle, which twisted unnaturally, the center was on the ground for a while and then was precisely made to sit in a wheelchair: the images suggest the worst but calming Rockets fans was provided by Adrian Wojnaorwski, who informed on X that the long Turkish player’s injury should not be as serious as previously thought, here of no ligament rupture or anything else, but a severe ankle sprain, combined with a bone edema in the knee.
