Taurean Prince was arrested as a fugitive for possession of “dangerous drugs”

Taurean Prince as of 2016 is an excellent NBA role player, author of 7.3 point average last season with the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, the American got into really serious trouble in the past few hours: prior to this affair, traces of drugs had been discovered in the player’s car during a checkup in Texas. Prince had been ordered not to leave the state, a ban of which he said he had no knowledge. At that point the wing was arrested as soon as she arrived in Miami, directly at the airport, and is currently at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

The charge against Prince is of “possession of dangerous drugs.” although they did not specify which ones. This is only the latest case, in chronological order, of an NBA player getting into trouble with the law this offseason. The most famous cases so far were those of Montrezl Harrell and especially Miles Bridges, still a free agent because he was accused (complete with photos of his girlfriend) of beating his girlfriend.

The NBA has a very strict policy on drug use and will surely investigate; Prince also risks a ban from the league.
