Shaq O’Neal is known as one of the greatest players in NBA history. Now an analyst and television personality, O’Neal is certain that if he played today, he would dominate in the league in the same way. Shaq is now a businessman and philanthropist who helps others get started on their path.
“I am the most dominant player to ever step on a basketball court. I’ve never seen anyone who thought they could stop me.”, he said of himself as a player.
In his MVP season, Shaq averaged 29.7 points, 13.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3 blocks per game. O’Neal thinks he would be as dominant in today’s NBA as he was in his playing days. The reason? Space on the court.
“I think I would be just as dominant.” Shaq said. “With the open game now and all those three-point shooters, the court would be a lot more open for me.”
O’Neal won all his major trophies with the Los Angeles Lakers, playing alongside the late Kobe Bryant. The two are said to have had conflicts at the time, which led to an argument between the players and may have eventually led to O’Neal’s departure.
