Mark Daigneault won Coach of the Year 2023-24

A few weeks ago the coaches had voted Mark Daigneault as Coach of the Year. Now the coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder also received official recognition from the NBA, thanks to a closed regular season in first place in the Western Conference and a 57-25 record.

Daigneault has sat on OKC’s bench since 2020 and has led the team to continuous improvement with 22, 24, 40 and 57 wins on the season, respectively. The Thunder are also his first NBA team as a head coach, as he had previously coached only in the G-League, five seasons with the Oklahoma Blue.

In voting for Coach of the Year, Daigneault won by a wide margin: scored 473 points compared to 158 for the runner-up, Jamahl Mosley, coach of Orlando. In third place, however, finished Chris Finch, coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Full voting results here.
