Las Vegas Aces win their first WNBA title

First, historic win for the Las Vegas Aces in WNBA. In recent hours, the team coached by Becky Hammon beat the Connecticut Sun 3-1 in the Finals, with Chelsea Gray who was awarded MVP of the final series. In Game 4, the Aces’ point guard finished with. 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.

Game-4 ended with the result 78-71, with Gray’s 20 points and Riquna Williams’ 17 coming off the bench and star Kelsey Plum’s 15. It is the first title for Las Vegas, where the team moved from San Antonio only in 2018. A fully successful experiment for the WNBA and from which the NBA seems to want to take a cue, as from next season the G-League will also have a team in the Nevada city.

The Aces had won the regular season with a 26-10 record, beating Phoenix in the first round, Seattle in the second and finally Connecticut in the Finals.
