Kyrie Irving will not play tonight vs. Washington

Kyrie Irving, should he not be traded by the trade deadline, will honor his contract by playing with the Brooklyn Nets for the rest of the season. At least this is what he said last night Chris Haynes, after the player’s request for a trade. Irving will definitely not be on the court tonight in the home game against the Washington Wizards: the Nets have already marked him as “out”.

The choice is not too surprising: the Nets have until Thursday to find a trade for Kyrie, and they do not want to burden the environment by deploying a player so soon after a trade request. Irving also put his own spin on it since he shared a message yesterday that seemed directed at the franchise, accusing it of manipulating reality. “Don’t let them rip you off.” also wrote in recent hours, quoting Bob Marley.

The feeling is that, at least until Thursday, Kyrie Irving will remain a home separate for the Nets.
