Keyon Dooling has been an honest NBA role player for 13 years, backup point guard for Clippers, Heat, Magic, Nets, Bucks, Celtics and Grizzlies. Since 2020 he has joined the Utah Jazz staff, specifically as a Player Development coach. Last April, Dooling had been arrested along with 17 other former NBA players for cheating the welfare program provided for athletes who retire from sports.
Today, the court ruled that Dooling Will have to serve 30 months in prison, thus 2 1/2 years, for that offense. Similar punishment for fellow Alan Anderson, one of the other players involved: 24 months in prison.
