Jayson Tatum today is an NBA phenomenon but few know that several years ago, still a young boy, opened a YouTube channel that still bears his name today.. There were only two videos on that channel to date: the first from April 11, 2013, and the second from a few days later, on April 17, 2013. In the first video, titled “J Tatum Movie”, Tatum shoots a kind of amateur short film about his then high school, Chaminade College Preparatory School, with some friends, one of whom also interviews him. In the second video, however, the one that is certainly more famous, the current Boston Celtics superstar instead makes a tutorial on how to tie a tie knot..
The two videos have 2 and 11 million views respectively, obviously thanks to the fame Tatum achieved several years later. The channel has 234,000 subscribers and has remained unused for 11 years to date. Just now Tatum posted a third video: the high school boy has now become a man and so much has changed in his life since 2013. Not the way the videos are edited: with the same slides introducing the videos and the same titles. Here Tatum does a tutorial on how to tie your shoes, a quote from his most famous video. And the shoes are his, the Jordan JT2. At the time of writing, this third video has about 13,000 views within 3 hours of its release. It may not reach the peaks of previous masterpieces, but it is certainly a fun quote as we wait for the Conference Semifinals to begin. Jayson Tatum and the Celtics will face the winner of Cleveland-Orlando (3-2) who will play Gauntlet-6 tonight.
