Ja Morant will surely miss the Memphis Grizzlies’ next game as well, as had been anticipated in recent days. The first chance to see him again could be Friday against the Spurs, but according to coach Taylor Jenkins it is still unlikely. The coach said before tonight’s game against Dallas that the Grizzlies and Morant are in constant communication with the NBA, and that the player is fully willing to do whatever it takes to make up for his mistakes.
Taylor Jenkins on if Ja Morant returns Fri: “There are a lot of internal dialogues going on and obviously there’s still things going on at the league level that we’re in communication with. Ja’s fully engaged in this process and ready for whatever comes next after these 2 games.”

Shortly thereafter, Adrian Wojnarowski wrote that. Morant is attending a counseling program in Florida to correct some of his behaviors. He did not go into detail about what this program consists of, but the Grizzlies star will remain out indefinitely for the time being. Only in the coming days will it be announced that Morant’s absence, which so far amounts to 6 games, will be extended further.
Reporting with @ESPN_MacMahon: Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant has entered a counseling program in Florida and there remains no timetable for his return to active play.
