Last week the Italian basketball world was overwhelmed by the news of the untimely death of Ruben Douglas, former Fortitudo Bologna. Today there was sadly another bereavement to process: the NBA mourns the death of Darius Morris, former point guard, deceased at only 33 years of age.
Four-year NBA veteran Darius Morris has passed away at the age of 33. Morris played for the Lakers, 76ers, Clippers, Grizzlies and Nets from 2011-2015.

Morris in 2011 was 41st overall pick in the Draft, in his career he played 132 games in the NBA between Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets. Then China, Russia and finally France, where Morris played his last season in 2020 at Gravelines-Dunkerque. The most significant experience, however, was with the Lakers: two years and, in his second, also 17 starts in the quintet on the Big Three team (Kobe, Howard and Nash).
For the time being, the cause of death has not been disclosed.
