Duncan Robinson could represent Team USA at the Olympics in a CURIOUS way.

Miami Heat guard Duncan Robinson is considering playing for Team USA’s 3×3 team during the summer at the Olympics, as he revealed in an interview with Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.

Robinson was one of 41 players selected on Team USA’s expanded list for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Ideally, he would like to represent his nation in 5×5 or 3×3 basketball.

“There is definitely a possibility. We’re trying to figure out how to be 100 percent, to make it happen. My hope and goal is to go there somehow, in one team or another. I would love to have the opportunity to represent my country.”

“It’s a physical, fast-paced game, the conditioning aspect helps me.”, Robinson said about 3×3 basketball.

To represent Team USA in 3×3 basketball, Duncan Robinson will have to overcome a number of obstacles. Only four athletes can represent a country, and two of them must be ranked in the Top 10 in their country’s individual rankings. The other two players must also be in the Top 10 or have played in at least one official FIBA 3×3 competition between January 1, 2023 and June 24, 2024. Robinson does not currently meet any of the standards.
