Alarm returned at home Brooklyn Nets, where in June Kevin Durant had asked to be traded. The NBA superstar then had corrected his pitch, adding that management would have to choose between him and the pair formed by GM Sean Marks and Steve Nash. However, Joe Tsai, owner of the Nets, had immediately made it clear that he placed complete trust in the front office and coach.
Nothing has moved in recent weeks, however; there have been yes a few proposals from other teams but nothing that would satisfy the Nets. And so we come to today: Tsai, Durant, Marks and Nash met and there was a breakthrough. No divestment, for now the Brooklyn Nets will continue together as they have for the past two seasons.

Whether the situation has been resolved is still too early to tell, certainly not the best starting a season with this indoor weather. The other headache is now the one related to. Kyrie Irving, who in recent hours also appears to have been taken off the market despite his contract expiring next summer and non-renewal.
In short, despite some drama, the 2022-23 Nets will still be led by Nash on the bench and Durant and Irving on the court, with the return of Ben Simmons. The Australian in recent hours received the OK from doctors to train with contact in 3vs3 and should be available for the first game of the season.
