After launching the Mi Air Purifier Pro earlier this month and Mi Air Purifier 2 in September with OLED display, Today Xiaomi launched a new anti-pollution mask in China that comes with a built-in air filter, called the ‘Cloth Pear Fresh’ air mask. Xiaomi company has become active in the fight over air purification in the market.

The anti-pollution air mask was first spotted by GizmoChina on Xiaomi’s crowdfunding portal. The air filter is made from delicate materials and can achieve PM2.5 filtration with an efficiency of up to 99 percent. The filter mechanism includes an “ultra-thin” fan for sucking in the air. You can adjust the fan’s speed via a button on the module. A “knob-type” filter filters the air from the fan  and this can be replaced easily, claims Xiaomi.

The company claims that in theory, this filter can filter out visible smoke particles, which measure around 7 micrometers in size. The entire unit weighs a mere 50.5g. Mask comes with a ‘double detachable design’ that features an ultra thin fan (with 3 speed levels), Li-ion battery that should give about 4-8 hours of use, charging support, air volume memory (for different individuals), a knob type filter cartridge and a charging port.

This Xiaomi Mi Purely Air Mask is now available for sale exclusively in the company’s crowdfunding portal for 89 Yuan (Rs 875/$13.5 approx.) The mask is available only in gray color now.
