Android 8.0 Oreo Beta for OnePlus 3 and 3T in the Form of OxygenOS Closed Beta


So those in the OnePlus 3 and 3T Open Android 8.0 Oreo Beta program can now download the update and experience Oreo hands on. Android Oreo is available for both devices and comes with a size of 1.4 GB which you can download here. Android 8.0 Oreo is Now Out for OnePlus 3 and 3T in the Form of OxygenOS. If you are planning to get the beta version then you will probably need to flash player the update, following the instructions that are given here.

Launcher changes 

  • Added Notification dots in Launcher
  • Added OnePlus account login and password for access to Shot on OnePlus
    • Now can able to upload photos directly to Shot on OnePlus through wallpapers

OnePlus 3 gets Android 8.0 Oreo closed beta

OnePlus, earlier today, released OxygenOS Open Beta 25 for OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones of one plus, which brings the latest Android 8.0 Oreo and Oxygen OS. The OnePlus 3 and 3T are the flagship phones for OnePlus last year that is 2016, which are succeeded by OnePlus 5. OnePlus is yet to reveal its plans to upgrade the OnePlus 5 to Android Oreo.

That said, this update is still and continues in beta stage, so there will be some issues, but OnePlus says that the OxygenOS Open Beta 25 can be used as a daily and regular driver.

Known issues:

  • Fingerprint actions may be slower than you used before.
  • Shortcut to access Google Photos from your phone is unavailable
  • Some stability issues with NFC Bluetooth connectivity
  • Performance and compatibility of 3rd party apps will continue to get optimized
