Katamarayudu Movie Review: Tollywood Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s latest film ‘ Katamarayudu’ is one of the most hyped and awaited film in recent times in Tollywood. Already the songs and trailer grabbed the attention of the audience. Now, Katamarayudu released in a huge number of theatres in Telugu states and overseas countries like the USA, Canada etc on Friday, March 24th.
Director Kishore Kumar Pardasani(Dolly) who is popularly known for his films like Konchem Ishtam Konchem, Tadakha and Gopala Gopala has directed this film. It is the second film in collaboration of Pawan and Director Dolly who earlier worked together for superhit film ‘Gopala Gopala(2015)’. Hot diva Shruti Haasan is playing lead actress opposite to PK, while Siva Balaji, Kamal Kamaraju, Ajay, Ali, Rao Ramesh, Venu Madhav, Nassar, Chaitanya Krishna, Tarun Arora and Manikanta in important roles. Story Plot: Katamarayudu is Set in a rural backdrop and It is family action drama that revolves around fearless rayudu(Power star Pawan Kalyan) and his four brothers Siva Balaji, Kamal Kamaraju, Ajay, Chaitanya Krishna. All of them are known to be extremely violent and get into fights at the slightest provocation.
Pawan has brought up his brothers single-handed and wanted to stay unmarried as he fears that bringing a woman into the house will disrupt the family and cause a rift among the brothers. But brothers wanted to make him love with Shruti Haasan. So, along with Ali who is their lawyer and friend, they devise several plans to bring Pawan and Shruthi together. After a few hiccups, the two do fall in love, but now there is a decided twist in the story. Pawan’s violent past that destroys his chance at happiness or will Shruti Haasan and her family’s past comes to haunt them? forms the remaining story.
Review: Katamarayudu is a mass entertainer with feel good factor and appropriate mass screen presence. Pawan Kalyan and all cast have given their best performance for the film. A rural feast, the film reflects the mood of the backdrop through its characters, their costumes and music.Shruti Haasan looks gorgeous and gave award worthy performance. All the supporting casts performed well. Decent plot, Performance of Pawan, spectacular visuals captured by cinematographer Prasad Murella, stunning music by Anup Rubens and sharp editing by Gautham Raju are the major assets of the movie. Overall it is a paisa vasool movie.

Highlights of Katamarayudu:
1. It is the remake of movie Veeram that was a blockbuster. Even though fans were disappointed to know that it was a remake, Pawan’s charisma just fades that impression out.
2. Pawan is seen in a completely traditional attire which is soon to be a new trend among the youth.
3. Shruti Hassan is pairing the second time with Pawan. Earlier Gabbar Singh was a blockbuster while now the expectations seem to be much more high.
4. Director Pardasani who earlier directed Gopala Gopala which is a also a remake performed well at the Box Office. So will have to wait to see what records are ready to break!

Katamarayudu movie makers the biggest ever Telugu cinema release in Karnataka and Chennai with the record number of screens on its first day. The Veeram remake is also carrying similar hype in Overseas too as the movie set for record opening across 250 screens in the US and in Nizam alone the filmmakers released in 300 screens. The latest flick is also creating trend in Box-Office Collections.
