Hindu Makkal Katchi Group Demands for Tamil Bigg Boss Ban


Hindu Makkal Katchi is a nationalistic Hindu party in the state of Tamil Nadu, has demanded to ban the Tamil version of reality show “Bigg Boss” and wanted to arrest actor Kamal Haasan for hosting the show. It is tarnishing Tamil culture. Hindu Makkal Katchi party members have filed a  Complaint petition at Chennai Police Commissioner’s office aims to the arrest of Kamal Haasan and all the participants (Oviya, Namitha, Julie, Aarthi, Gayathri Raghuram, Raiza Wilson, Shakthi Vasu, Vayapuri, Ganja Karuppu, Bharani, Snehan and Ganesh Venkatraman) of the ‘Bigg Boss’ show which is broadcasting on Vijay Tv

In the complaint, Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) secretary Veeramaanickam Siva has filed a complaint against  Kamal Haasan at Chennai Police Commissioner’s office. In the complaint he stated that ‘Bigg Boss’ in Vijay TV is causing the disintegration of the Indian culture and the Indian people who put honor before everything else will not tolerate it.  “People of India are paragons of virtue.

Indian television channels, nowadays, are acting in a way to wreck the Indian culture and Tamil traditions.  It also claimed that the participants of the show consisting of 7 men and 7 women speak in a blasphemous obscene language and appear 75 percent naked on the screen which will supposedly result in a culture shock for the toddlers to elderly people watching. Bigg Boss Tamil made headlines since the announcement of the show. The show, which went on air June 25 on Star Vijay, marks the television debut of Kamal Haasan.
